Kharta valley trekking will depart for Lhasa on Air China with the great views of the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest, third highest mountain, Kanchanjungha and more. Upon arrival, you in Gongkar airport, met our Tibet agent then proceed to transfer to the Hotel in the Lhasa for approx 3 nights, which will help you to acclimatize for your grand tour to this inaccessible land and sightseeing as well. During your stay in Lhasa, visit the famous Potala Palace, the Jokhang, great monasteries and walk through the bustling Barkhor Market, a fine introductory tour to the heart of Tibet and the classical trek to Kharta Valley. The trip starts with a drive from Lhasa through the friendship bridge and trek lead to Kharta from Xegar. Next day we continue to trek to Kharta. Following the route to North Everest Base Camp, you will have enough time to explore the Rongbuk glacier below the massive north-face of Mt. Everest and Cho Oyu Base Camp. After having the magnificent views of worlds highest mountain scenery you will be back to Kathmandu. An expert Nepalese Sherpa staff for which we use yaks and/or truck will support the trek portion.
Days 01: Kathmandu / Lhasa (3650m).
Departures on you are scheduled with Air China's flight to Lhasa. Upon your arrival at Gonggar airport, you shall be met your Tibetan guide and transfer to hotel and O/not at Hotel in Lhasa.
Days 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa.
Sightseeing tour of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.
Days 03: Sightseeing in Lhasa.
Sightseeing tour of Patiala & Norbulinka Palace and Drepung Monastery.
Days 04: Lhasa / Gyantse (3950m).
Drive to Gyantse via Yamdruk, Karo la & Kamba La and O/not at Hotel in Gyantse.
Days 05: Gyantse / Shigatse (3900m).
Drive to Shigatse visiting, Khumbum, Phalkhor & Shalu Monastery and O/not at Hotel in Shigatse.
Days 06 : Shigatse / Xegar (4350m).
Drive to Xegar and Visit Tashilunpo Monastery & free market and O/not at Hotel in Xegar.
Days 07 : Xegar / Kharta / Strasse (3500m).
Drive to Kharta; prepare Yaks for the trek to The Strasse (3500m), and O/not at Camp.
Days 08: Kharta / Tamoche (4150m).
Trek to Tamoche and O/not at Camp.
Days 09: Tamoche / Sagar (4590m).
Trek to Sagar and O/not at Camp.
Days 10: Sagar / Pola Valley (4965m).
Trek to Pola Valley via Doya Ri (5330m) and O/not at Camp.
Days 11 : Pola Tal / Strasse / Dza-Rongphu (5000m).
Trek to Strasse and drive to Dza-Rongphu (4920m) and O/not at Camp.
Days 12: Everest Base Camp.
Excursion to Everest Base Camp (5200 m) then back to Rongphu and o/not at Camp.
Days 13: Dza-Rongphu / Cho Oyo Base Camp / Driver's camp (4900m) Drive to Fahrerlager in Cho Oyu and O/not at Camp.
Days 14: Driver's Camp / Cho Oyu Base Camp.
Trek to Cho Oyu Base Camp by Yaks (5450m) and o/not at Camp.
Days 15: Excursion Day in Cho Oyu Base Camp.
Excursion to Balung Ri (6060m) and o/not at Camp.
Days 16: Cho Oyu Base Camp / Driver's Camp (4900m).
Trek to Driver's Camp and O/not at Camp.
Days 17: Driver's Camp / Zhangmu (2300m).
Drive to Zhangmu via Lalung La and o/not at Hotel in Zhangmu.
Days 18: Zhangmu / Dhulikhel / Kathmandu.
Drive downhill to Friendship Bridge following the gorge of Bhote Koshi River for the final leg of the journey to Kathmandu and O/n at Hotel.
