Overview

Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world lies on the eastern border of Nepal with India. The trek provides you to experience the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local culture.This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. The effect is most visible in the vegetation,thick, verdant forests with heavy undergrowth.Even at the height of the dry season, the jungle trails are moist and fresh.The rhododendron in eastern Nepal is some of the most spectacular, especially the Milke Danda range north of Taplejung which has been declared a sanctuary for Nepal’s national flower.The whole trek through the moist forests is also an orchid enthusiast’s delight.If orchids are actually parasites,then you could call the Tamur River basin a Parasite Paradise.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival/pick up from airport to hotel.O/N Kathmandu.

Day 2: Official formalities/Day trip city sight seeing.O/N Kathmandu.

Day 3: Fly/Drive from Kathmandu to Biratnagar.

Day 4: Drive from Biratnagar to Suketar and trek to Phurunba.

Day 5: Trek Phurunba to Chirwa.

Day 6: Trek Chirwa to Sekathom.

Day 7: Trek Sekathom to Amjilessa (2500m).

Day 8: Trek Amjilessa to Gepla (3000m).

Day 9: Trek Gelpa to Ghunsa (3500m).

Day 10: Trek Ghunsa to Kambachen (4200m).

Day 11: Rest Day for acclimatization.

Day 12: Trek Kambachen to Lhonak (4700m).

Day 13: Trek Lhonak to Panpema (5220m) return to Lhonak.

Day 14: Trek Lhonak return to Ghunsa.

Day 15: Trek Ghunsa-Sinion pass (4400m).

Day 16: Trek Sinion pass-Miring pass (4600m) - Tseram (3500m).

Day 17: Trek Tseram to Raze (4200m).

Day 18: Trek Trek Raze to Torantan (3000m).

Day 19: Trek Torantan to Amji Khola.

Day 20: Trek Amji Khola to Yanphudin.

Day 21: Trek Yanphudin to Manankhe.

Day 22: Trek Manakhe to Keswa.

Day 23: Trek Keswa to Lalikharka.

Day 24: Trek Lalikharka to Suketar.

Day 25: Drive to Suketar to Biratnagar.

Day 26: Morning fly to Kathmandu.
